Somewhere along the line, there has been a beastly rivalry brewing between the vegan community and the meat eater community. And its understandable, the meat eating community stands for everything that vegans oppose. But the question is; is it possible for us both to truly understand and accept one another? Here at ThomasTheVegan, we welcome all with open arms. Its important that we don’t view our meat eating friends as enemies, competition, or even as ‘wrong’. We view everyone as family. Our mission is to foster a diverse community. A community where the ideas and day-to-day lifestyle of vegan living is posted here, clearly and simply for all to read and enjoy. By doing this, we shed just a bit of light on our experience as a vegans. Some vegans view people that choose to eat meat as ‘the bad guys’, and often distance themselves. This limits the effectiveness of their overall message. The way we see it, vegans and meat eaters are both here to stay; so lets learn and grow together. Theres no need to alienate anyone.
Vegans and Meat eaters have different views. Vegans believe that as a society, the need to kill and utilize animals for resources no longer exists. We believe that as vegans, we can help restore the environment by not participating in the industrial farming epidemic. We feel that we could all live amazing lives if we refocus our views on animals and the planet. These things are true. But above all, we must all realize that life is a dynamic journey, and we must respect and accept the beliefs and decisions of others on that journey.
“let get together as friends and try our best to make this world a better place.”
Ultimately, what we do here at ThomasTheVegan is work to create a better understanding of the vegan lifestyle, and grow together as human beings. Our readers don’t have to be vegan to enjoy our content. Being vegan is about developing a love, empathy and compassion; and we want to share that with the world. So yeah, vegans don’t eat meat, eggs or dairy. And yeah, some people do. We’ve gotta understand that disliking each other because of these differences will not create a better understanding of each other.
Forget all the details, let get together as friends and try our best to make this world a better place.
Thats what its all about.
